Stone Veneer & Faux Stone Installation
Curb Appeal That Looks Like Real Stone.
Manufactured stone veneer accents — front facades, columns, chimneys, and water tables. Installed with proper drainage plane, weep screed, and code-compliant lath.
What We Install
Stone veneer comes in natural and manufactured options. Both deliver dramatic curb appeal when installed with proper moisture management. We help you choose what fits your home and budget.
Natural Stone Veneer
Thin-cut real stone (fieldstone, bluestone, limestone) adhered to your wall. Authentic texture and color variation that only nature produces. Premium option for homeowners who want the real thing.
Manufactured Faux Stone
Lightweight concrete panels molded from real stone. 60–75% lighter than natural stone, easier to install, and available in dozens of profiles and colors. Virtually indistinguishable from natural stone at a fraction of the weight.
Full Facade Application
Stone veneer covering the entire front face or multiple walls. Creates a dramatic transformation that increases curb appeal and home value. We handle moisture barrier, lath, and scratch coat from foundation to roofline.
Accent & Wainscot
Stone on the lower third of your home, around the entryway, or on chimney and column faces. The most popular application — maximum visual impact without full-facade pricing.
Chimney & Column Wraps
Stone veneer wrapped around existing chimneys, porch columns, and pillar bases. Hides deteriorating brick or plain concrete and adds character to your home’s most visible features.
Foundation Facing
Cover exposed concrete block or poured foundation walls with stone veneer. Eliminates the utilitarian look of bare foundation and ties the stone aesthetic from ground level up.
The Exterior Upgrade That Lasts Generations
Stone veneer is essentially permanent when installed correctly. It does not rot, warp, fade, or attract insects. In Northern NJ — with freeze-thaw cycles, heavy rain, and humid summers — stone performs where other materials struggle.
The key is moisture management. Stone veneer installed without a proper drainage plane and weep system traps water behind it, and that leads to mold, rot, and structural damage. We install with a full weather-resistive barrier, metal lath, scratch coat, and weep screed at the base — every time.
- Essentially permanent lifespan with proper installation
- No painting, staining, or sealing required
- Increases home value and curb appeal significantly
- Natural and manufactured options for every budget
Our Stone Veneer Installation Process
Stone veneer requires proper prep and moisture management. Here is how we deliver it.
On-Site Stone Assessment
We inspect your walls, evaluate the substrate, and discuss natural vs. manufactured stone options, profiles, and colors. You leave with a clear plan and written estimate.
Moisture Barrier & Lath
Weather-resistive barrier goes on first. Then galvanized metal lath is mechanically fastened to provide a bonding surface. Weep screed installed at the base for drainage.
Scratch Coat & Stone Setting
A scratch coat of mortar is applied and scored. Once cured, each stone is individually set and mortared — working from the bottom up with proper joint spacing for a natural look.
Grouting & Final Walkthrough
Joints are grouted and tooled for a clean finish. We walk the entire installation with you, confirm every detail, and leave you with warranty documentation.
Stone Veneer FAQ
What homeowners ask before a stone veneer project.
Natural stone veneer is thin-cut real stone. Faux stone (manufactured stone) is molded concrete designed to look like natural stone. Both look great and perform well. Natural stone has more color variation and texture depth. Manufactured stone is lighter, less expensive, and comes in more consistent profiles. We install both and can help you decide.
Stone veneer is essentially permanent when installed correctly. The stone itself does not degrade. The mortar joints may need repointing after 25–50 years depending on weather exposure. Proper moisture management behind the stone is what determines whether the installation lasts decades or develops problems.
In most cases, existing siding needs to come off first. Stone veneer requires a solid substrate, weather-resistive barrier, and metal lath to bond properly. Installing over vinyl or wood siding skips the moisture management step and leads to problems. We assess each situation individually during the estimate.
Stone veneer is the most expensive siding option per square foot. Many homeowners use it strategically — accent walls, wainscot on the lower third, entryways, and chimney wraps — to get maximum visual impact without covering the entire home. We provide detailed estimates based on exactly what you want covered.
