Common Roof Emergencies We Respond To
If your roof is letting in water or was just hit by a storm, these situations get worse quickly — especially in New Jersey’s weather.
Active Roof Leak
Water coming in during or after rain. We locate the source, stop the intrusion, and give you a written assessment of the full repair needed.
Storm & Wind Damage
Missing shingles, lifted flashing, or branch impact. We assess the full extent, document for insurance, and repair it correctly.
Fallen Tree or Branch
Impact damage can range from surface to structural. We assess what’s compromised, secure the opening, and give you a clear repair plan.
Ice Dam Damage
NJ winters create ice dams that back water under shingles and into walls. We repair the damage and address what allowed it to form.
Failed Flashing
Chimney, skylight, and valley flashing failures are a leading cause of leaks. Small from the outside, significant on the inside.
Hail Damage
Hail damage isn’t always visible from the ground. We inspect after any hail event and document findings for your insurance claim.
How Our Emergency Response Works
You Call or Contact Us
Call (973) 713-1053 or fill out the contact form. We respond the same day, Monday through Saturday.
We Assess the Damage
We come out, inspect the roof, and give you a clear picture of what happened and what it takes to fix it properly.
We Secure the Roof
If there’s active exposure, we address it right away so your home isn’t open to the next rain while you wait on paperwork.
Written Scope + Insurance Help
Written estimate with photos and measurements. If you’re filing a claim, we work directly with your adjuster.
What to Do While You Wait for Help
A few quick steps can limit damage between your call and our arrival. Don’t put yourself in danger — we’ll handle the roof itself.
Catch the Water
Place buckets, towels, and tarps under any active drip. If water is collecting in a sagging ceiling spot, poke a small hole in the lowest point with a screwdriver and place a bucket below — releasing the water prevents a larger collapse.
Move What You Can
Get furniture, electronics, rugs, and valuables out of any affected room. Cover what you can’t move with plastic sheeting or trash bags. Photograph damage as you find it — we’ll need it for insurance.
Document Everything
Take photos and short videos of interior water spots, exterior damage you can see from the ground, fallen branches, and anything that came off the roof. Time-stamped photos from your phone are perfect for claims.
Don’t Climb the Roof
Wet shingles, hail-iced surfaces, and storm-damaged structures are extremely dangerous. Falls cause more injuries than the original storm did. Wait for us — we have the equipment and training to do it safely.
Turn Off Power If Needed
If water is dripping near light fixtures, outlets, or your electrical panel, turn off power to that area at the breaker. If your panel itself is wet, leave the house and call an electrician immediately.
Call Us First, Insurance Second
Get the leak stopped before filing the claim. We can do an emergency tarp the same day in most cases. Once the home is secure, we’ll help document the damage for your insurance adjuster.
Working With Your Insurance Company
Most emergency roof repairs from storms, wind, hail, or fallen trees are covered by homeowner’s insurance. Here’s how we help you through the claim.
We Document the Damage
Detailed photos, written assessment, and a clear scope of repair. Adjusters need this to approve your claim — the better the documentation, the smoother the process.
We Meet the Adjuster
If your insurance adjuster wants to inspect the roof, we’re there to walk it with them. Adjusters miss things sometimes — we make sure all the legitimate damage gets included.
Honest Scope
We bill what’s actually needed — not inflated “storm chaser” estimates that get claims denied. Insurance companies trust honest contractors, and that means faster approvals for you.

Emergency Roof Repair FAQ
Yes. We respond Monday through Saturday and keep the phone on for emergencies. Call (973) 713-1053 and we’ll get someone out as fast as conditions allow — same day whenever possible, first thing the next morning if it’s late and unsafe to tarp in the dark.
If there’s an active leak, place buckets or towels to limit water damage to ceilings and floors. Don’t go on the roof yourself — it’s unsafe when wet. Take photos of visible damage from the ground if you can do so safely.
Yes. We document the damage thoroughly — photos, measurements, written scope — and communicate directly with your adjuster. You don’t have to manage the claim on your own.
It depends on the extent of the damage. We provide a written estimate before any work starts so you know exactly what you’re agreeing to. No surprises on the invoice.
It’s worth a call. Small roof damage that gets wet repeatedly can lead to much larger interior damage over time. We’ll give you an honest assessment of urgency — including if it’s something that can wait.
